One of my students is going to ...I'm very excited. One of my students is going to be working the Conference USA basketball tournament. He got this opportunity on his own simply by sending his information and letting them know he was available to volunteer. One of the tournament directors used to work with one of the coaches who is now at UC. When he saw that the student was at UC, he gave him a call. This is how things work--you send your info and give it a shot. Sometimes it's connections we don't even know about that give us our shot.
